Elena Agostinis is a painter and sculptor who in 2001 started the paint project in Tannersville, NY in an attempt to revitalize a dying village in the Northern Catskill Mountains of New York State.

The story and success of her project has been widely publicized and has twice been aired on NBC's Today Show. The project is ongoing.

Elena is the co-owner of two retail boutiques, Chaos NY, located in Manhattan and Bronxville, NY, and recently opened a contemporary art gallery in Tannersville called "Say What?"

She is co-chair of the Hunter Foundation and an advisory board member of the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI as well as Concordia College in Bronxville. She holds a BA in Graphic Design from Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
